About the Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are bold, athletic little herding dogs known for their low-set bodies, fox-like faces, and enthusiastic personalities. Despite their small stature, they are surprisingly agile and were originally bred to herd cattle by nipping at their heels. Their big-dog attitude in a compact package has made them enormously popular as companion dogs. Corgis are intelligent and eager to learn, though they can have an independent streak. They are alert watchdogs with a tendency to bark, and they need regular exercise to stay fit and mentally engaged.
