Shetland Sheepdog

Shetland Sheepdogs, or Shelties, are bright, energetic herding dogs that look like miniature Rough Collies. They are exceptionally intelligent, ranking among the top ten smartest dog breeds, and they excel at obedience, agility, and herding trials. Shelties are sensitive, loyal dogs that form deep bonds with their families. Shelties can be reserved with strangers and have a tendency to bark, but they are affectionate and devoted to their people. They need regular mental and physical stimulation to stay happy.
