Basset Hound

Basset Hounds are charming, low-key scent hounds known for their droopy ears, sad eyes, and exceptional nose. They have the second-best sense of smell of any dog breed, surpassed only by the Bloodhound. Despite their solemn appearance, Bassets are friendly, easygoing dogs with a stubborn streak. Bassets are surprisingly heavy for their height and need moderate exercise to prevent obesity. They are patient with children and get along well with other dogs, making them excellent family pets.
